HR and Employment Law is a Principal Practice Area for PDH. HR and Employment Law counseling has been a principal service of PDH since our formation in 1987. And we are finding that in our 25 years in existence as a firm, that the requirements of our clients in the HR and Employment area is rapidly increasing. We furthermore see this trend increasing in the years to come.
Too many small and mid-sized businesses are reluctant to spend money on attorneys advising them on employment matters in a preventative capacity because they fail to see the value in the services they provide. That is of course until it becomes too late—at the time they face a lawsuit seeking substantial damages or receive notice from a government enforcement agency advising of an investigation or the assertion of one or more claims.
We believe that practical ongoing HR and Employment advice can significantly help a business grow. We believe it essential for your business to have a long-term, working relationship with a law firm with knowledgeable employment law lawyers and who have access to experienced HR professionals. PDH enables this to be done through retention of our full menu of services for as much or as little as may be required by your business. Of course, it would be nice to have full-time HR and legal professionals on staff, assuming they were capable, yet we understood that for most businesses this is not practical.

You Choose the Scope of Services Provided. To allow us to start an HR and Employment assessment or audit, the first step is to provide us with the following documents to allow us to provide a limited review and assessment at no charge.
We will then provide you our PDH Initial HR Assessment where we identify suggested areas of improvement and establish suggested priorities, along with a corresponding estimate or budget in terms of the time we anticipate each task will require. Your company can then implement such recommendations as your time and budget allows. After this assessment and audit is completed and the recommendations have been fully implemented, we offer varying degrees of ongoing monitoring and assistance services–on either an hourly, monthly, or annual basis. We can also provide you with an HR Director for a day, a week, or a month–or any combination thereof. Our goal is to allow you to avoid the investment of hundreds of thousands of dollars for annual salaries, yet get the same if not better talent and service for a fraction of that investment.
